Ah, Mining.
February 16, 2008Have I mentioned how ridiculously awful mining is? I’ve been trying to get to 300 before I hit outlands…so far 259-297 has taken me about 5 hours of nothing but doing laps of various zones. I swear, mining was designed by the same Bliz employee who came up with Gnomer.
I have, however, amused my guildies with a couple of “poems” while mining…presented here, for your enjoyment.
“Ode to Ore”
You spawn so slowly
And do not give me
The levels I need
You suck.
“Ode to Thorium”
You were all over
Until I could mine you
Now you are nowhere
You tease.
Sad what kind of idiocy becomes amusing when you’ve been staring at your minimap for long enough…
It will be fixed in patch 2.4. I have the same problem with my lvl 50 shammy, i`m in areas full of thorium and mithril but my level is stuck at mining iron. i did do all the quests on the low lvl maps and i did mine everything. but it wasn`t enough, i`m supposed to go back to low lvl areas and mine iron to raise the skill.

of course it’ll be fixed in 2.4, since I spent hours slaving for those levels. bah.
when you reach mining 300, you will lvl up to 375 so quickly, it took for me a few hours, mining fel iron in helfire peninsula then adamantite in blade edge’s mountains.

you’re not kidding…mining is waaaaay faster in outlands! I managed to get it to 343 without even trying just wandering around hellfire on quests.
glad you like my banner…yep, I drew it! I’m thinking about tweaking it a little bit…the gnome’s face bothers me. faces are the hardest part of drawing a person (for me, anyway!)…I want to improve it a little bit.
